Theorem Updates JT to 3D PDF

Supports JT 10.8

TAMWORTH, UK, Apr 13, 2021 – Theorem Solutions has announced the release of the latest JT-3D PDF product from the Publish range, with new and improved product features and enhancements, and support for JT 10.8.

Theorem’s 3D PDF products enable the publishing of JT data directly into the interactive 3D PDF document format.

The published PDF document contains embedded interactive 3D representations of the native JT data (within pre-defined templates), offering greater levels of Intellectual Property (IP) protection, with support for separate passwords to control the editing of the 3D PDF output.

Theorem’s 3D PDF for JT supports the processing of Model Based Definition (MBD) information when publishing 3D PDF documents from JT data.

3D annotations, dimensions (PMI/FTA/GD&T), assembly structure, geometry, views, and attribute data (where available) are published to the 3D PDF document at the point of creation helping to streamline the design and manufacturing process into a paper free digital process. U3D and PRC data transfer methods are supported.

Anybody with access to the freely available Adobe Reader, either on a PC, tablet or smartphone can access the interactive 3D data and are able to view, mark up and interrogate the document without the use of specialist CAD software. 3D PDF’s are lightweight enough to share via email, making them ideal for sharing across an organization, or with the wider supply chain.

As 3D PDF is an ISO standard (ISO 24517-1 (PDF/E), the technology can be easily integrated and can effectively become the protocol for easy, seamless document creation and communication.

Through a partnership with Siemens, Theorem can ensure that there is a parallel development between the latest releases of JT and Publish products, allowing Theorem to continue to provide 3D publishing solutions for the JT community.
