Goldenfields Water County Council Selects InfoWorks WS

BROOMFIELD, CO, May 2, 2017 – Innovyze, a leading global innovator of business analytics software and technologies for smart wet infrastructure, today announced that Goldenfields Water County Council (GWCC), Australia, has chosen InfoWorks WS to better manage its water supply network assets.

Goldenfields Water County Council provides essential water requirements to about 46,000 people over an area of 22,526 sq. km. between the Lachlan & Murrumbidgee Rivers in the South West of New South Wales. While the operation of all systems under Goldenfields’ control is being fully integrated, the infrastructure relies on five separate sources, each of which supplies a separate area.

“InfoWorks WS software gives us the hydraulic and water quality modeling tools we need to better manage our drinking water supply network,” said Mike Read, engineering coordinator for GWCC. “These advantages and more will help us optimize our water system performance, improve its sustainability and resiliency, and ensure the continued delivery of quality drinking water our customers have come to expect.”

InfoWorks WS provides a comprehensive model management solution with powerful analytics, enabling fast simulation and analysis of water distribution networks. The combination of fast data management, robust hydraulic engine and spatial analysis tools creates a single, flexible water network modeling application that excels in both steady-state and extended period dynamic simulations. A full range of simulation capabilities is included as standard with InfoWorks WS, including water quality, sediment and valve criticality modeling, fire flow assessment, unidirectional flushing, demand area and leakage analyses, energy cost and carbon footprint calculations, and auto calibration of networks. In addition, User Programmable Control (UPC) allows the user to change the state of control elements based on the status of sensors, in order to optimize operating regimes within a network.

“It’s no surprise that top water utilities consistently opt for the advanced smart water network modeling and management solutions we provide,” said Paul F. Boulos, Ph.D., BCEEM, Hon.D.WRE, Dist.D.NE, Dist.M.ASCE, NAE, chief executive officer of Innovyze. “Our products’ unique blend of groundbreaking technology and ease of use, backed by superior technical support and a steadfast commitment to anticipating and meeting our customers’ evolving needs, make Innovyze’s comprehensive solutions the smartest choice on the market. We are delighted that GWCC has selected Innovyze in its continuous quest to strengthen drinking water infrastructure and improve customer service.”
