EPLAN View Mobile makes it possible directly at the machine. Now available in both iOS and Android formats, the new app enables instant access to the automation system’s EPLAN documentation and helps service personnel to eliminate problems.

Numerous innovative functions were integrated into the new version during its development, including a current satellite menu that offers simple navigation. Simplicity is the focus of app operation – all the critical functions can be controlled with just a touch. What are known as swim lanes are another innovative element that promise to make the app a pleasure to use. Touch controls, typical for tablets and smartphones, means users intuitively have a broad range of projects under control. Because it can be used on a wide variety of mobile devices such as Android tablets or iPads, the app is also easier to use in “dirtier” environments than a purely PC-based application.
The new search function provides considerable added value for users, with which they can also easily navigate from within the schematics or fluid-power diagrams. The complete EPLAN Project can thereby be viewed – regardless of design, whether an electrical or a fluid-power schematic or a control cabinet. The app supports nearly all of the platform’s products including EPLAN Electric P8, EPLAN Fluid and even EPLAN Preplanning and EPLAN Pro Panel.

EPLAN View Mobile will be available in English and German in early July and can be downloaded for free in the respective stores – Google Play or Apple’s App Store. And there are already plans for the app’s future: additional interface languages and 3D functionality in the area of control cabinet engineering in particular will be expanded.

EPLAN View Mobile is easier to use and data continuity has been greatly improved. The app, complementing the cloud-based view solution introduced at the Hannover Messe, is another important element in EPLAN’s engineering solutions portfolio: easy access to EPLAN Projects even outside of the engineering process.
