Shapr3D Replaces Sketch Engine with Siemens D-Cubed

BUDAPEST, Hungary, Sep 26, 2018 – Shapr3D selects Siemens D-Cubed. D-Cubed components include solving 2D and 3D geometric constraints  (2D DCM and 3D DCM ), creating new 2D geometries based on existing geometries (PGM), producing drawings and illustrations of CAD models (HLM), simulating moving parts (AEM) and detecting if moving parts collide and interfere with each other (CDM).* Shapr3D is a professional CAD on iPad made for Apple Pencil.

From an email sent by Shapr3D:

After replacing our modeling kernel with Siemens Parasolid, we have replaced our sketch engine with Siemens D-Cubed, the industry standard sketch engine. SOLIDWORKS, Inventor, SolidEdge, NX etc. are all based on D-Cubed – meaning that now we are running exactly on the same tech stack as the big players, but on your iPad Pro, natively (not in the cloud!), with a super cool, easy-to-learn, yet professional interface. We have also rebuilt our snapping engine from scratch, so now accurately sketching in Shapr3D is super easy.
