VIRES Virtual Test Drive Recognized as R&D 100 Award Finalist

NEWPORT BEACH, CA, Aug 15, 2017 – MSC Software Corp. announced that VIRES Virtual Test Drive, the company’s complete tool-chain for driving simulation applications in the development of ADAS and automated driving systems, was selected as a finalist for the R&D 100 Award. This accolade demonstrates MSC’s commitment to developing innovative engineering simulation software tools to help the automobile industry achieve its goal to deliver safe Level 5 vehicle autonomy.

This R&D 100 Award recognizes the 100 most technologically significant products introduced in the past year. The Finalists were selected by an independent panel of more than 70 judges. This year’s Finalists represent many of the industry’s leading organizations and national laboratories, as well as many newcomers to the R&D 100 Awards, often referred to as the “Oscars of Invention”.
