MCKINNEY, TX, Sep 4, 2019 – Sigmetrix, global experts in GD&T and mechanical variation, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. From its early beginnings as a producibility tools group within Texas Instruments, Sigmetrix became an independent corporation on September 1, 2009. Over the last 20 years Sigmetrix has matured into a successful and growing company with worldwide reach.
James Stoddard, one of the original seven founders of Sigmetrix in 1999 has been with the team since the very beginning and now serves as its president. Stoddard and 2 other current employees all worked together on the original Texas Instruments team developing TI/TOL (Texas Instruments Tolerance Analysis) – the predecessor of CETOL (Concurrent Engineering Tolerance Analysis). The technology behind TI/TOL originated out of the ADCATS group founded in 1984 by Dr. Ken Chase at BYU and in 1990 the first release of TI/TOL hit the market.
