Pointwise Receives 2018 Small Business of the Year Award

FORT WORTH, TX, Mar 8, 2018 – Pointwise received the 2018 Small Business of the Year Award from the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce at Mayor Betsy Price’s Annual State of the City address at the Fort Worth Convention Center on February 20, 2018. John Chawner accepted the award on behalf of Pointwise.

Pointwise won in the 11-50 employee category and was chosen from a field of 142 nominees in four categories based on number of employees. Criteria for the award are business growth and performance, sound business strategies and practices, customer service strategies, business challenges, unique and innovative approaches, and community involvement.

“We very much appreciate this recognition from the Fort Worth Chamber and the efforts of the judges and other volunteers who spent countless hours reviewing all the nominated and well-deserving companies,” said John Chawner, president. “The award validates the work our staff has put into developing and implementing procedures that emphasize service to the customer, to each other, and to the community.”

“Small businesses are the foundation of a thriving economy,” said Allisen Prigel, chairman of the Chamber’s Small Business Council committee and vice president of Broadie’s Aircraft, a previous award winner. “These passionate and determined entrepreneurs reflect the competitiveness, creativity, and diversity of Fort Worth’s business base.”

Each finalist was judged by a panel of Fort Worth Chamber business owners and professionals, most of them past award winners. Top entrepreneurial students from Texas Christian University’s Neeley School of Business were also among the judges.
