KASSEL, Germany, Nov 9, 2016 – casim GmbH & Co. KG, a premier provider of fast, accurate and reliable statistical tolerance stack-up analyses, announced that it has recently signedFesto as a new customer of its tolerance analysis software tool simTOL. Festo is a leading global manufacturer of pneumatic and electromechanical systems, components, and controls for process control and factory automation solutions.
Since 1925, Festo has been an independent, privately-owned company with the commitment to producing innovative products for the automation industry. For over 40 years in the US and 80 years globally, Festo has been a positive force for manufacturers. Today, with over 250 branch offices in 176 countries and national companies in 61 countries, Festo is a global leader in automation and the world market leader in industrial basic and further training.
At the Festo AG & Co. KG in Esslingen, Germany, they recognized their need of a software tool which helps them to carry out statistical tolerance analyses reliably and quickly. They were impressed and delighted when they learned about simTOL. After an informative software training in which Festo’s design engineers learned how to use simTOL efficiently, the company ordered ten software licenses. The purchase of several additional licenses is planned for 2017.
simTOL offers fast and reliable statistical tolerance analyses for 1D, 2D and 3D tolerance stack calculations enabling its users to influence product quality at an early stage in the development process toavoid unexpected and unnecessary production costs. simTOL operates with efficient statistical algorithms allowing you to calculate precise, realistic results. Within seconds, a calculation run of a complete assembly can be performed and clear, concise results are displayed for each critical characteristic. An optional feature allows thermal expansions of components to be considered in the tolerance calculations. This way both, the tolerances caused by production and those caused by temperature, are considered in the analyses.
“We are pleased that such a great new customer selected simTOL over other alternatives and we are looking forward to our future cooperation”, says Dietmar Arndt, sales manager of casim. “simTOL is the result of multiple years of development and has proven itself in years of practical use by our customers in industries like automotive, aerospace, machine design, electronics and many more.”
