TEMPE, AZ, Oct 27, 2016 – CADsoft Consulting Inc., a proven leader in the implementation of design and construction technologies, announced the addition of Rick Chappell and Rob Bigelow as infrastructure solutions engineers to their infrastructure technical team. Building on the strong foundation and reputation that CADsoft has developed, they will be joining CADsoft’s technical staff of engineers, architects, and certified instructors.
Rick Chappell, GISP re-joins CADsoft after spending four years working across the industry in utility systems, including water, waste water, gas, electric, and communications. He has worked in both design and operations and understands the strategic impact of industry trends. Chappell is a Certified Geographic Information Systems professional and has a strong background in identifying systems and processes where he uses his skills and experience to increase an organization’s operational income while reducing waste, and he is a frequent speaker at international engineering conferences on using technology to enhance utility operations. Along with proven experience with Autodesk’s infrastructure solutions, he brings a wealth of knowledge on terrestrial scanning, ESRI, and GIS management processes. Chappell most recently worked for Pictometry, Global Water Fathom, and First Solar in Arizona.
Rob Bigelow, GISP joins CADsoft from years of experience as a GIS specialist, civil designer, project manager, and CAD manager. He is an information technology expert uniquely skilled in CAD and GIS products, networking, security, database, cloud services, and computer technical support. Bigelow is a Certified Geographic Information Systems Professional and holds an AutoCAD Civil 3D Professional Certification. His past role as a project manager positions him well to understand a customer’s project from the initial conception to the final stages of approval, consistently meeting their needs, budgets and timelines. As a CAD manager, he brings experience that will help CADsoft customers achieve their goals of implementing reasonable solutions, more efficient methods, user-friendly standards and procedures, documentation and libraries, cloud storage solutions, and ways to use database objects to their full potential. Bigelow most recently worked for Bolton & Menk Engineering and KLJ Engineering both in Minnesota, and M3 Engineering in Chandler, AZ.
