SUNNYVALE, CA, June 12, 2014 – Industry veteran David Watters has joined AMD as head of industry alliances, Professional Graphics.

David brings a wealth of experience in the Professional Graphics market. He joins AMD from Immersion Graphics Inc. where he was VP of business development. Prior to IGI, David worked at Nvidia for 10 years, holding a number of leadership roles in the Professional Solutions Group, most recently as the overall design and manufacturing industry lead for the Quadro and Tesla businesses. David holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences from the Ohio State University.

David’s Charter with the AMD Professional Graphics Business Unit will Include:

• Drive a roadmap of differentiated AMD FirePro ISV solutions
• Grow joint AMD-ISV business engagements and marketing programs
• Enable sales with AMD FirePro solution advantages by working with marketing, PR and other teams
• Communicate the AMD FirePro value proposition to OEM partners and enterprise customers
