Autodesk Q4 Revenue Up 4% to $1.47B with $282M Profit

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, Mar 1, 2024 – Autodesk, Inc. reported financial results for the fourth quarter and full year of fiscal 2024. This quarter’s revenue stood at $1,469M, 3.9% up compared to $1,414M of third quarter of fiscal 2024, with a profit of $282M.

“We are undertaking a multi-year process to develop lifecycle solutions, powered by shared platform services, and with Autodesk’s Data Model at its core. Together, these will enable Autodesk, its customers, and partners, to create more valuable, data-driven, and connected products and services,” said Andrew Anagnost, Autodesk president and CEO. “Having led the industry in generative design, we are leading again in 3D generative AI. Our new multimodal foundation models will enable design and make customers to automate low-value and repetitive tasks and generate more high-value, complex designs more rapidly and with much greater consistency. We can already generate 3D representations from images 10 times faster and with vastly higher quality than currently available 3D AI.”

“Autodesk remains resilient and underlying demand for our products and services is robust. As a result, revenue grew 14 percent at constant currency in the fourth quarter,” said Debbie Clifford, Autodesk CFO. “Adjusting the mid-point of our guidance to exclude noise from the new transaction model, acquisitions, the absence of EBA true-up revenue, and FX, we expect underlying revenue to grow more than 10 percent in fiscal 25.

Sigmetrix Releases CETOL 6σ v11.5 for Tolerance Analysis

MCKINNEY, TX, Feb 23, 2024 – Sigmetrix, experts in mechanical variation management, announced their latest version of CETOL 6σ tolerance analysis software, version 11.5, is now available for immediate download. Tolerance analysis benefits businesses in many ways. It helps improve profitability by balancing quality with manufacturing cost. Companies can also realize faster time to market by reducing the need for additional design and prototype cycles. Finally, it allows companies to gain confidence in their product and process decisions before making costly investments.

CETOL 6σ enables product development teams to understand the often-complex impact of dimensional and assembly variation easily and fully on their designs. This knowledge enables them to make the proper adjustments before problems appear in manufacturing or, even worse, in their customers’ hands. Users of all expertise levels will appreciate the multiple levels of assistance available within the software. This new version of CETOL 6σ builds upon the powerful features already in place and adds many improvements, including:

Inseparable Assemblies:

  • Users can now indicate that an assembly is inseparable in the CETOL 6σ model, in which case the software treats the assembly as a part. No changes to the CAD model are required.

(Optional and only available for PTC Creo) Create Feature Annotations from Tolerancing Information First Defined within CETOL:

  • This optional feature supports alternative workflows in which CETOL 6σ is used earlier in the design process to help determine datum features, datum reference frames, and appropriate tolerance types and values based on the function of the part in the context of the entire assembly. Once the user completes the definition of the dimensioning schema in the CETOL 6σ model, the software will automatically create the associated semantic annotations, also referred to as Product Manufacturing Information, or PMI, in the part files that can also be shown on the drawings.

Several Enhancements to Improved Ease of Use:

  • Add geometric tolerance to multiple features – You can select multiple features and then apply the geometric tolerance to each of the selected features.
  •  You can select multiple size dimensions, non-size dimensions, or geometric tolerances and modify their properties all at once.
  •  The values for all tolerances for the selected part are reset to the default values (as defined on the Variation Defaults tab in Options).
  •  Now there is an optional notification window that pops up when there is a loss of synchronization with the CAD model.

As with prior releases, CETOL 6σ v11.5 is available in English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese.

Sigmetrix president and CEO, James Stoddard states, “we are excited to release CETOL 6σ v11.5 to the market. We feel this release is a major step forward in ease of use, supporting our larger solution strategy.  We feel confident that companies will see improvements in their journey to build better products through mechanical variation management.”

Sigmetrix’s comprehensive, integrated portfolio includes other products and services including:

  • CETOL 6σ, a 3D tolerance analysis solution that works directly with NX, SOLIDWORKS, PTC Creo and CATIA V5-6 models.
