ILHAVO, Portugal, May 30, 2014 – BEEVERYCREATIVE, the first Portuguese 3D printer manufacturer, launched BEESOFT v3.8.0. It’s the first non-Beta release of their BEETHEFIRST 3D printer software.

This release has been through intensive testing, involving more than 30 people and with hundreds of prints done. The major improvements are the following:

• Substantial reduction in slicing time, through the integration of CuraEngine;
• Better management of computer resources: it uses less memory and CPU;
• Better printing with support material;
• Better general stability and reliability of the communication protocol.

The integration of CuraEngine required new code to be written by BEEVERYCREATIVE. This code will now be made available to the community of this Open Source software, started by Ultimaker.

Certifications

After receiving CE marking last year, BEETHEFIRST has now received the GS certification, for the German market, and UL certification, for US & Canada markets.

With these new certifications, we now intend to expand the distribution of our products until full international coverage is ensured. To simplify the growth of our distribution network, BEEVERYCREATIVE has now created three different entry distributor packages and will be looking for new contacts.

Next Thing Coming

The next thing is an open-source add-on that will provide connectivity to BEETHEFIRST. Because it’s an add-on, it will also work with BEETHEFIRST printers already sold. The Beta version shall be available within a few weeks and we encourage all Makers’ collaboration.
