Tech Soft 3D Releases HOOPS Exchange 2015

TechSoft 3D LogoBEND, OR, Oct 22, 2014 – Tech Soft 3D today announces the release of HOOPS Exchange 2015, with new upgrades for allowing developers to add quick, accurate and complete 3D CAD data access to their applications. Software developers can now benefit from even broader format support as well as a high-performance Parasolid connector, which seamlessly and accurately bridges imported data to the B-Rep modeler found within many applications, and prepares it for accurate modeling within Parasolid.

“The new Parasolid connector provides developers everything they need to optimize connectivity between these industrial-strength 3D toolkits – giving their users unparalleled power to import, model and interrogate data,” says Gavin Bridgeman, Tech Soft 3D VP of products.

Other upgrades include:

  • Support for reading B-Rep data from Autodesk Inventor files.
  • View and PMI support for the widely used SOLIDWORKS format.
  • Texture support for SOLIDWORKS and Autodesk Inventor.
  • Performance enhancements for IFC, including a 500% processing time improvement for some files.
  • Support for CATIA V5-6 2014, Solid Edge ST7, Inventor 2015 and Creo3 – meaning all native format readers have been updated to the latest version.
