CONCORD, NH, Dec 1, 2014 – Technology Education Concepts, Inc. (TEC), a 3D Systems authorized academic representative, announces the winner of the Free Cube 3D Printer Giveaway!
All of the applications received for TEC’s Cube 3D Printer School Giveaway showed a high interest in a 3D printer for their school. TEC’s decision based on the merits of a single question that asked what top three objectives the educator would like to accomplish with a Cube 3D Printer. After reviewing hundreds of applications, Glen Iris Elementary School in Birmingham, Alabama was selected to receive the Cube 3D Printer. This school’s response demonstrated a plan to expose, prepare, and engage their student population to engineering technologies and careers using the Cube 3D Printer. Dr. Michael Wilson, Principal of Glen Iris Elementary School, comments, “The opportunity to enhance our student’s experiences through technology and other means is exciting. Teachers who reach out and think outside the box for resources and ideas take our students to higher levels of thinking and learning.”
Richard Amarosa, former educator and founder/president of TEC, was personally involved the selection process. “It was our goal to select an educational site where the Cube 3D Printer would have the opportunity to allow the majority of the school’s teachers and the student population to explore STEM digital manufacturing technologies,” states Mr. Amarosa. He continues, “Our hats go off to all of the educators who put forth the effort to implement 3D printing technologies into their classroom and school. They are the advocates who bring opportunities to our young people and broaden their educational experiences.”
