Stabiplan Launches Stabicad 10

Stabiplan_logoROTTERDAM, Netherlands, June 3, 2015 – Stabiplan recently launched Stabicad 10 with several new features and updates. Each of the tools allows the MEP engineer to work more efficiently in BIM, for example because of the new tag tool, duct calculation in Revit, Autodesk 2016 support and more.

E&BLab-1The evolution of the industry is evident to all the parties involved in a construction project. Innovation and quality affect the installations, the design process, and maintenance. Certification, e.g. for durability and standards such as new ISSO standards, and building performance have become more important conditions in the design process. In collaboration with customers and partners, Stabiplan software is always evolving in order to translate these industry trends into ease of use and in the design speed.

With Stabicad 10, Stabiplan now presents a major release that includes a variety of new features and updates. These productivity tools are multiplatform, so can be used both in Revit and AutoCAD. Some examples:

  • Electro tag tool: save time in Revit when manually placing tags at electrical symbols (such as group numbers and switch letters) by using the tag tool.
  • Duct calculation in Revit: experience the power of integrated calculation in BIM – fast and reliable installation calculations.
  • Autodesk BDS 2016 support: Stabicad 10 works optimally with the 2016 Autodesk software release. The speed of the Autodesk software has been enhanced through multi-core support and a setting that ensures that the entire system is not continuously calculated.
  • ISSO 55 in Stabicad: Stabicad supports the stricter standard for tap water installations. The new ISSO 55 provides higher accuracy, thus ensuring smaller diameters in a design calculated with Stabicad.
  • Schematic diagrams in Revit: with Mechanical Diagram in Stabicad 10, you visualize installation concepts of all piping systems in schematic views.

Stabicad 10 is the tool that allows the installation sector to collaborate with other construction partners. The MEP design flow is the basis of everything we do in Stabicad: their software fits into the practice of the MEP engineer – from advice, design, detailing, and implementation to maintenance. That’s why Stabicad 10 aligns with relevant industry standards, including EMCS, IFC, ETIM, and others.
