Siemens Marketing VP Bill Carrelli to Step Down

siemenslogoBOSTON, MA (Siemens Press and Analyst Event), Sep 3, 2014 – Chuck Grindstaff, president of Siemens PLM, announced that Bill Carrelli, VP strategic marketing, was making his last stage appearance at this event and will be retiring from his full time duties at Siemens in January of 2015. Chuck thanked Bill for his 40 years in the business. Bill may continue to continue working for Siemens in a consulting or part time role.

Bill started his career with Lockheed Georgia then went to SDRC, the company best known for I-DEAS software and Metaphase. SDRC was acquired by EDS in 2001. EDS spun off the CAD business as UGS which was later acquired by Siemens PLM.

“I wanted to be an aerospace engineer,” said Bill, who has an engineering degree. “But there was a downturn in the aerospace industry in the 70’s.”

Bill worked closely with Dave Taylor at Siemens PLM. Where Bill was in charge of marketing strategy, Dave was in charge of its execution. Bill worked directly for John Miller.

Bill’s successor has not been named.
