CAMBRIDGE, MD, June 18, 2014 – GKD Metal Fabrics welcomes Thomas Schultz, formerly of Ceilings Plus, to their team as regional sales manager for the west coast.
Schultz has over 20 years of experience in architectural sales including representing GKD
Metal Fabrics while a manufacturer representative at Design Insights. He has spent the bulk of his career in California, making him particularly suited to working with architects and engineers specifying projects in the west coast market. Schultz is well regarded for his ability to solve technical design challenges and his ability to assist with specification writing, as well as to provide product knowledge training and insights.
A graduate of Rio Hondo College in Whittier, CA with an Associate Science degree in Technical Drafting, Schultz taught technical drafting and architecture at the college. While teaching, Tom received his Credential in Architectural Engineering from UCLA.

In his new role, Schultz will collaborate with architects, contractors, and engineers to advise and inform on the specialty nature of GKD Metal Fabrics integrated solutions. He will consult on design and structural recommendations, as well as act as a liaison between facility managers, project architects and GKD Metal Fabrics inside design engineer staff.
