ALEXANDRIA, VA, Apr 6, 2015 – fCoder Group, Inc. announces that the list of files and formats supported by FolderMill software has been extended with AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS technical drawings. Users of FolderMill now can convert Autodesk AutoCAD DWG, DXF and SOLIDWORKS documents to PDF, JPG, TIFF, or PNG formats. It was made possible by using FolderMill in combination with the virtual printer Universal Document Converter.
Corporate customers use FolderMill to automate document printing within the office environment. It saves a lot of time for each and every employee. When an employee needs to print anything, all he needs to do is to copy files into a “hot folder,” and files are printed automatically.
There is a big advantage is this approach. All PDF files, Microsoft Word and Excel documents, PowerPoint presentations, AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS technical drawings are always printed with the correct printing settings. And these settings need to be configured only once – during installation of FolderMill on the office server.
Apart from printing FolderMill can convert Microsoft Office text documents, worksheets and presentations to PDF, JPG or TIFF formats. FolderMill can be used with virtual printers (such as Universal Document Converter) as well. It allows to extend the range of formats supported by FolderMill. AutoCAD DWG, DXF and SOLIDWORKS drawings can thus be converted to other formats.
Using FolderMill in combination with Universal Document Converter, it becomes possible to automate conversion of drawings, office and technical documents into searchable or bitmapped PDF files or to image files, such as JPG, multipage TIFF, PNG, GIF, PCX, DCX, Bitmap.
