BAD KREUZNACH, Germany, Sep 12, 2014 – DataCAD Software & Services GmbH has announced the availability of the latest release EditNC 10.3.The software offers powerful CNC programming, easy manual G-code programming, accurate conversion of files, quick data transfer to machines and is designed to complement CAD/CAM systems.

Release 10.3 contains many new functions and enhancements and is particularly useful for customers using lathes with Fanuc controls.

The new release offers many usability enhancements: Files names are shown in tabs, files can be opened by dragging into an open editor, the background color for read-only files can be individually set, and resequence does now handle P and Q words used on G70 through G73 commands as well as G98Hxxx for local subprogram calls.

EditNC 10.3 also offers many new analysis features, e.g. backplotter support for a great number of Fanuc lathe cycles (e.g. G70 – Contour finishing, G71 – Stock removal & turning, G72 – Stock removal, facing, G73 – Pattern repeat). Furthermore, the backplotter does now support G98Hnnn for local subprogram calls and A-axis positioning (indexing). Another nice feature is that users can select the color for lathe cycles.
