Ribbon style user interface

Version 5 provides two different user metaphors, classic and ribbon. The ribboned interface is suitable especially for beginners and features thematically structured features and buttons. All essential features are now fast and easy to reach. The application provides extensive support from start to finish of your projects in the form of input aids and wizards that help with data input and processing.

64-bit version now available

In addition to the 32-bit version, Ashampoo 3D CAD Professional 5 also comes in 64-bit to allow the use of more than 3.5 GB of RAM on machines running a 64-bit Windows OS. This ensures a smoother work flow with complex projects. The setup wizard automatically selects the right version for you during installation.

Extended 2D fill patterns, 3D textures in 2D views and extensive object catalog

In previous versions of 3D CAD Professional, fill patterns were entirely based on drawing routines provided by Windows. In version 5, you can create your own patterns from drawing primitives and use them in your projects. To this end, the fill properties for elements displayed in 2D have been greatly extended. The extended object catalog that comes with construction elements, textures, materials and symbols rounds off the list of visual enhancements.

Compatible with other CAD solutions

Data exchange is supported through 2D importing and exporting based on the fairly common DXF- and DWF- formats. As a specialty, Ashampoo 3D CAD Professional 5 also exports to Maxon Cinema 4D format, e.g. to add additional polish to your constructions for presentations.

Ashampoo 3D CAD Professional 5 is available for $299.99 and compatible with all common versions of Windows (Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8). Owners of a previous version can upgrade for $119.97.
