MarkForged produces the Mark One, the world’s first and only composite 3D Printer. The Mark One enables a user to reinforce 3D-printed parts with continuous strand Carbon Fiber, Kevlar and Fiberglass. Now, functional parts can be printed with a higher strength-to-weight than aluminum, at the desktop.
Using a patented process of a composite filament fabrication (CFF) print head, alongside a FFF (fused filament fabrication) print head, the Mark One enables engineers to print end-use parts, brackets tooling and fixtures that traditionally are made from metals.
In addition the Mark One allows a user to pause a print, and add components before continuing the print, allowing the ability to embed sensors, electronics, hard mounting points and more into the 3D printed part.
