ROTTERDAM AREA, Netherlands, July 12, 2016 – Stabiplan launches the new EMCS version 3.0. This version includes content updates compared to version 2.1. This version is aligned with, among others, RVB standard and ETIM RT and includes parameters that support the original Revit accounting functionality.
The European MEPcontent Standard (EMCS) has been prepared by Stabiplan with the goal of providing MEP engineers throughout Europe with a high-quality and uniform standard. Marnix Leune, business process manager, talks about the need for a standard document which is also Stabiplan’s vision for the future: “We want to create clarity within all the available European standards. By creating a uniform standard, we provide clarity for European MEP engineers.”
Version 3.0 has been established with the valued input of more than 15 co-readers from across the industry. These co-readers work at major manufacturers such as Grundfos and Victaulic, as well as installation companies such as Croonwolter & dros and TBI. Standards have to prove themselves in practice, so this practical feedback was extremely valuable.
Many manufacturers recognize the value of uniform and high-quality content, which is why they publish on MEPcontent. MEPcontent, the premier BIM library for MEP engineers, offers content from ABB, Dyka, OBO Bettermann, Mitsubishi, and more.
Stabiplan develops and sells Revit and CAD-software for the engineering sector and technical facility management (Architecture, E and M installation engineering, Safety). Stabiplan is the market leader in the Benelux. The company operates internationally and aligns with the engineering sector in those countries through collaboration with suppliers, installers and knowledge platforms.
Engineers always have the correct information with Stabicad: circuit diagram, 3D design, calculations, technical drawings or equipment reports. Stabicad is BIM-proof and supports multiple platforms (Revit and CAD) and easily makes the exchange between both via Exchange functionality. Collaboration on BIM projects can be done via desktop and tablet thanks to cloud technology.

MEPcontent.eu is a service from Stabiplan in close collaboration with suppliers and manufacturers of technical installation products. MEP engineers want to deliver technically correct models and drawings. Up-to-date graphic product information is at hand on MEPcontent.eu: a comprehensive site that provides access to all graphic product and (wholesale) trade information in Revit families and 3D dwg’s. For both E and M installations, for use in Revit and CAD, and in line with the product range of manufacturers and suppliers. Uniformity and quality of the content is secured in our content factory and by the European MEPcontent standard (EMCS). The EMCS contains a set of rules that guarantees the consistency of Revit families and 3D-dwg’s and ensures that they operate well in a Revit project and that they contain all relevant and right information.
