ODA Publishes Open Cloud to Azure Marketplace

SCOTTSDALE, AZ, Mar 20, 2020 – Open Design Alliance (ODA) announced that its Open Cloud solution is now available on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. Open Cloud is a development platform that delivers visualization, data access and automation for web-based CAD and BIM applications.

“Using Open Cloud on Azure opens the door to cloud-based CAD and BIM development for companies that are investing in Microsoft technologies,” commented Neil Peterson, ODA President. “You can integrate Open Cloud into your own web applications for viewing and data access. And running on Azure offers capabilities that other cloud operating systems can’t match, for example, the ability to host sensitive IP on your own local servers, and work with it securely via the web.”

Diego Tamburini, Principal Industry Lead, Manufacturing in Microsoft’s Cloud + AI Division, said, “We’ve been working with ODA for the past six months, helping them to optimize the use of Open Cloud on Azure. We’re looking forward to continuing our role as advisor to corporate users of this new technology.”

With this latest release, Open Cloud applications can now be quickly and conveniently deployed on Microsoft Azure. Open Cloud is distributed as a technology, not a SaaS, supporting the development of self-contained web applications that are fully independent from proprietary CAD or BIM end-user products.
