MicroDrainage enables users to work more efficiently and get the reliable information they need to make better design decisions for optimal performance. The latest release represents a major step forward in compatibility and interoperability which are key criteria of the building information management (BIM) initiative. MicroDrainage 2018.1 makes it easier to transfer information with other widely used third party packages to streamline processes and ultimately save time, money and resources.
Enhancements include:
- Greater integration with Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D and other widely used CAD packages. It is now possible to export and import drainage networks as Pipe Networks directly to AutoCAD Civil 3D. Intelligent links between Civil 3D and MicroDrainage files mean changes made in either package are updated in the other with a single click.
- MicroDrainage files can be exported to Industry Foundation Classes (.IFC) file format. IFC is a common file format used by a variety of BIM-related software packages.
- The addition of underdrain outlet types to MDSuDS means subsurface flows can now connect directly to other subsurface elements of downstream SuDS structures. This gives a truer representation for more accurate analysis of complex flow paths through SuDS treatment trains.
- Introduction of a larger set of export schedules to provide information for drainage management systems including the Highways Drainage Data Management System (HADDMS).
