Hexagon Manufacturing Releases I++ Simulator v2017

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence has published I++ Simulator Release Version 2017 (V8.0.17114.1), the new release of its simulation software for measuring equipment. Focused on ‘virtual coordinate metrology’, the latest version of the software is designed to play a key role in the move towards automated production processes.

I++ Simulator allows users to simulate existing measurement programs and create new programs for their specific metrology hardware and software, as well as peripheral equipment such as robots and part handling systems. Its offline programming capability is ideal for the design and feasibility testing of automated metrology systems, while the package also supports operator training. New part programs can also be created offline to maximise equipment uptime.

The updated version of the software supports additional sensors and tool racks to ensure accurate modelling of the customers’ metrology environment. Improvements have been made to the probing and scanning strategies for optical sensors while the new release also features improved support for Hexagon’s HP-O optical interferometric sensor, such as sweep scan functionality ideally suited to blade and blisk inspection.

I++ Simulator Release Version 2017 (V8.0.17114.1) is available now in 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Windows 10 is also supported.
