Gilbane Hires Robert Labanara as Business Development Manager

GLASTONBURY, CT, Nov 9, 2017 – Gilbane Building Company has announced the addition of Robert (Bob) Labanara as business development manager based in its Glastonbury, Connecticut office.

Bob joins Gilbane with extensive experience in government relations while working for the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities for nearly fifteen years.  Most recently having worked for a Connecticut developer, Bob will bring his statewide reputation for being highly-skilled in business development, marketing and relationship management to Gilbane.

As a former director of Public Policy, Bob represented the interests of Connecticut towns and cities before the General Assembly and Executive Branch State agencies.  His background includes working directly with Mayors, First Selectmen and Town Managers on in-depth policy development and analysis related to issues such as Land Use, Transportation, Labor and Municipal Finance.   “Gilbane is an industry leader.  Being able to join their team is a remarkable opportunity,” noted Bob. “I am eager to learn from the expertise of my colleagues and contribute to the growth of the company,” added Bob.

Bob earned a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Arts from Marist College.
