LEXINGTON, KY, Jan 8, 2018 – Woolpert hired Jeff Padgett as a senior project manager for the firm’s Transportation market. Padgett, who worked for the firm from 2007-2013, will be working out of Woolpert’s Lexington, KY, office. He will help address the current workload and assist the firm in expanding its geospatial transportation services in the Midwest and the South.
Padgett’s supervisor, Woolpert transportation market director and senior vice president Tom Mochty, said the firm has been gaining momentum in multiple transportation avenues and is providing geospatial services to an increasing number of departments of transportation (DOTs) across the country.
“We’re excited about how our services continue to grow in this direction and support the emerging technologies that enable connected and autonomous vehicle deployment,” Mochty said. “(Padgett) is a known quantity to the firm and is well respected in the industry. He has strong relationships in the DOT markets, particularly within the Transportation Research Board (TRB) community, and with several of our existing and prospective clients.”
Padgett is a standing member of the TRB’s Geospatial Data Acquisition Technologies in Design and Construction (AFB80) Committee and is certified in photogrammetry by the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS), where he will assume the role of director of the Professional Practice Division this year. The University of Kentucky graduate earned his degree in business administration and management, is licensed as a professional surveyor and mapper in Florida, and earned licenses to practice photogrammetry in South Carolina, Virginia and Oregon.
Padgett said Woolpert’s continued professionalism and “can-do attitude” made the decision to return easy.
