Woolpert Appoints Emily Seamster as Project Manager

FORT WORTH, TX, Dec 6, 2018 – Emily Seamster has been hired by Woolpert as a consultant and project manager for the firm’s Strategic Consulting Group. Seamster will use her communications and marketing experience to help clients successfully apply facility asset management strategies within their organization.

“I have spent the past few years helping clients develop strategies that realize the most value possible from investment in their physical assets,” Seamster said. “I’d like to continue this and help clients effect change within their organization through people-centered communication initiatives.”

In previous roles, Seamster provided asset management and change management consulting services for clients in aviation and federal markets—both civilian and defense. She has provided communication support for clients needing to successfully implement new management programs. She said this experience helped her understand the challenges organizations experience en route to becoming better stewards of their built assets, facilities, processes, portfolios, etc.

“Working with a diverse set of agencies and organizations—learning how they operate, perform their mission, serve the country and solve problems—has deepened my perspective across markets,” Seamster said. “I love my job because I learn something every day, whether it be how governments work, how a facility functions or how technology helps the process. In my role here, I’m excited to also leverage Woolpert’s geospatial approach to client solutions, utilizing tools from drones to spatial software.”

Already at Woolpert, Seamster is working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Overseas Building Operations, to develop and implement facility asset management strategies. She also is newly appointed to the committee drafting a new international standard (ISO) on facility management (ISO 41000), which will guide the optimum performance of support services to organizations of all types and sizes.

“I love the strategic, entrepreneurial and technology-forward aspects of Woolpert’s culture,” Seamster said. “I think the Strategic Consulting Group is helping to foment that culture, and I’m excited that my role supports that with its business- and marketing-driven perspective on client service.”
