Virtalis_logoCHESHIRE, UK, Jan 30, 2015 – Kuala Lumpur is home to the latest Virtalis office to open – Virtalis Malaysia. The Manchester, UK-based virtual reality (VR) business has taken an office in the Intermark Tower as part of the Multimedia Super Corridor (known as MSC) inward investment scheme. Virtalis Sdn Bhd (1123956-T) will form the group’s base for operations in the ASEAN region (Association of South East Asian Nations).

David Cockburn-Price, Virtalis MD commented: “In my recent trip to Malaysia, everyone I met was fantastically keen to start working in 3D and VR, in the marketplaces we’ve already made our own in the UK – engineering, academia, aerospace and power. Many remarked to me that our technology is like the film “Iron Man” for the real world.”

The Virtalis team will be headed up by Zairul Isham Abdul Malik who joins from Virtalis’ local partner and minority shareholder, Thames Technology. “I’ve already had many exciting discussions with potential customers and partners,” said Zairul, “and I am proud to be appointed as vice president of operations for Virtalis’ new company.”
