PORTLAND, OR, May 4, 2015 – Viewpoint Construction Software, a leading provider of innovative software solutions to the construction industry, announced the availability of the latest release of MEP Estimating, Viewpoint’s estimating product specifically designed to meet the needs of subcontractors working in the mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing trades.
The latest release includes Viewpoint Pricer, a new integrated Web-based pricing tool to speed RFQ communications between the contractor and their material suppliers. Users will now have the ability to easily request price quotes from their suppliers from within MEP Estimating. Suppliers will be able to login to the Pricer web application to manage all their RFQs in one convenient location.
Additionally, Digital Takeoff functionality has been enhanced with features like Continuous Line, to speed takeoff of a run of piping or ductwork. Estimators can quickly and accurately perform a takeoff directly from almost any digital file, avoiding the need for a digitizer board, a stylus pen or even a set of paper plans. Users can save thousands of dollars on printed blueprints, and avoid having to work with awkward, bulky paper plans.
