SAN LEANDRO, CA, July 11, 2014 – Type A Machines, award-winning 3D printer designer and manufacturer, has announced the availability of direct 3D printing through Autodesk Meshmixer, bringing ease of use to the 3D printing experience.
Meshmixer is the ultimate free 3D modeling tool that lets users mash, mix, sculpt, stamp or 
paint their own 3D designs. The introduction of direct 3D printing for Type A Machines’ 2014 Series 1 3D Printer within Meshmixer makes it easier than ever to translate a 3D design into a physical object. The 2014 Series 1 3D Printer provides the highest return on investment and the longest lifespan of any 3D printer on the market due to its extensible design.

This means a wider range of polymers can be used with the Series 1 3D Printer than with competing printers.
The new extruder comes standard with all new 2014 Series 1 3D Printers. It will also be offered as an upgrade for existing owners of any Series 1 printer.
