Tungaloy’s DeepTri-Drill, a line of indexable gun drills, now offers shim sets for diameter adjustments in deep hole drilling.

Deep hole making processes require hole diameter accuracy; to cover these diameter requirements, Tungaloy’s diameter adjusting shims are designed to easily adjust intermediate diameters of existing standard DeepTri-Drills in increments of 0.01 mm (.00394″). Simply place the shims between the guide pad and drill body for an easy, fine adjustment of the drill diameter.

The standard DeepTri-Drill line is now capable of providing a range of accurate deep hole diameters with a simple adjustment. Preparing special long drills with extra lead times and tool costs are no longer needed, contributing to customers’ success in productive and economical deep hole drilling.
