TransMagic Announces R12 sp3

WESTMINSTER, CO, Apr 15, 2021 – TransMagic, Inc., industry leader in 3D CAD data productivity and interoperability tools for the manufacturing industry, announced additional formats and functionality for R12 sp3. The release includes updated support for the latest versions of CATIA, NX, Creo, Solid Edge, SOLIDWORKS, DWG, Parasolid and ACIS. TransMagic has added new support for Rhino files. Enhancements were also made to Bounding Box, Part to Part Comparison and Dimensioning functions in this release.

Best-Fit Bounding Box: The often-requested new Bounding Box feature adjusts to fit any geometry, no matter what angle, in order to get the tightest possible fit and use of rectangular space. This functionality will help manufacturers to optimize packaging and stock size to avoid wasted material. The feature includes more color control and transparency options of all bounding shapes.

Part to Part Dual-Profile Check: In MagicCheck for part comparison, the Compare Min and Max Profile Tolerance can be run independently by specifying a minimum ‘inside’ profile tolerance, and a maximum ‘outside’ profile tolerance. If either profile tolerance is exceeded, MagicCheck displays the deviation on the color heat map, and includes any deviations in the automatic report. This capability enhances both CAD revision analysis and CAD model validation.

Dynamic Dimension Color and Line Thickness: This feature allows the customization of dimension line color and line weight in Settings.
