SAN JOSE, CA, Jan 2, 2015 – TechShop, Inc. has signed the lease and have the keys to TechShop Mid-Peninsula’s new, permanent home.
From an e-mail from Jim Newton, TechShop founder and chairman:
Floor plan details are still being finalized with the architect and there’s much to be done during the next two weeks as we pack up the San Carlos location and move into our new 2415 Bay Road facility, so I ask that you not drop in on the new shop quite yet. We need to move quickly and impromptu visits will only delay the opening date for the new TechShop Mid-Peninsula.
We’d love to give you an advance sneak peek, however. Please join us from 8-10PM on January 9th for a preview pizza party at the new Redwood City address. We’re excited and can’t wait to share the new space with you!
Important Dates and Info
- San Carlos location closure: The current San Carlos shop will close for good at 5PM on Wednesday, December 31st, at which time members will no longer have access to the building
- Preview Pizza Party: Members are invited to check out the new Redwood City facility from 8-10PM on Friday, January 9th
- TechShop Mid-Peninsula reopening: We anticipate reopening in the new Redwood City location at 9AM on January 10th
