Tech Soft 3D Releases HOOPS Communicator 2016 Service Pack 2

TechSoft3D_newlogoBEND, OR, Nov 23, 2016 – Tech Soft 3D, leading provider of software development tools and 3D PDF solutions to the engineering industry, announced HOOPS Communicator 2016 Service Pack 2. This software development kit release provides major enhancements to rendering of large models, improved visual quality and user interface.

“One industry trend we can always count on is the ever-increasing size and complexity of design files. Projects are more complex, files keep getting bigger, and our partners need to be able to load and interact with these immense files in seconds. Our work here is never complete, but we’ve made huge updates to HOOPS Communicator,” said Guido Hoffmann, HOOPS Communicator product manager at Tech Soft 3D.

There are quite a few capability updates in HOOPS Communicator, such as CAD configuration support and ambient occlusion, but the stand-out is yet another major leap forward in handling large and complex CAD data within desktop and mobile browsers. The new resource limiting feature enables rendering of massive models, made of hundreds of thousands of parts, on any device by limiting memory usage. Geometry is moved in and out of memory depending on camera location and zoom level.
