NY44947LOGO-bNEW YORK, NY, Feb 29, 2016 – Christopher Bailey, FRICS, has been promoted to senior vice president of STV. Bailey is the national director of the firm’s project controls group within STV’s construction management division.

Under Bailey’s stewardship, STV’s project controls group has grown significantly in size, client base and services.

One of his accomplishments has been the implementation of the BIM 456 platform, which provides clients with total building information management from the early conceptual phases of a project, until well after a facility is constructed and occupied. STV’s pioneering use of BIM 456, in association with traditional project controls services, and market reputation has earned the project controls group a number of major contracts in recent years from clients such as the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, New York University Langone Medical Center, and Columbia University.

Additionally, Bailey’s team has written its own software interfaces to help support the firm’s overall project controls efforts. Bailey and his group have championed their technological advancements at prestigious industry events, presenting papers and leading panels at Autodesk University 2015 and at the Construction Management Association of America’s annual conference 2015.

Bailey studied quantity surveying and business management at Guilford College in the United Kingdom. He is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), and the Association of Cost Engineers, and is a member of the National Institute for Building Sciences, the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering and the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science. He was elected to chair the RICS Americas Global Quantity Surveyors Board and Construction Council in 2014.
