PORTLAND, Maine, Oct 16, 2014 – SPAR Point Group, organizer of SPAR International 3D Measurement & Imaging Conference, announced a Call for Papers for the 2015 event which will take place March 30 – April 2 in Houston, Texas. The Call for Papers invites any interested parties to submit abstracts by the November 15, 2014 deadline.
New for 2015!
Conference content will be divided by audience segment. In order to attract more asset owners, AEC and EPC attendees, SPAR International is adding a Business Track focused specifically on topics of interest to this group. Content will be less technical and address business considerations such as making the case for technology investment, increasing efficiency and integrating with existing systems. Also new is Introduction to 3D Tools, a track designed specifically for surveyors (traditional or just entering the marketplace) interested in exploring 3D technologies with topics on equipment options, expanding your business with 3D, monetizing equipment purchases and partnering with 3D service providers. The Technical Track will continue to feature the high level presentations 3D experts have come to expect in SPAR programming for the advanced 3D technology user.
Programming covers the full spectrum of available capture technologies including: 3D laser scanning, LiDAR, photogrammetry and structured light for static, mobile, airborne and handheld devices. Processing topics include exploration of processing software, data management systems, cloud-based applications and open source. Discussion of deliverables includes visualization tools, immersive environments and data sharing across stakeholder groups.
