Sigma Labs previously announced that it was awarded an America Makes research project for In-Process Quality Assurance (IPQA), with the goal of attaining high-volume AM production of aerospace components. The Company won its first contract under this award, with GE Aviation, earlier in 2015; additional contracts are anticipated from Honeywell Aerospace and Aerojet Rocketdyne, a unit of GenCorp.
