SHINING 3D Launches Freescan Trak, FreeTrak Probe

SHINING 3D has released its newest industrial level metrology solution at this year’s Control international trade fair. The system is comprised of three products, FreeTrak optical tracker, Freescan Trak 3D scanner, and FreeTrak Probe, which work in conjunction or separately to provide a truly comprehensive industrial scale measurement solution.

Based on SHINING 3D’s latest technology, the FreeTrak is capable of capturing the spatial position of the scanner structure in real time, offering a portable, efficient, and reliable 3D measurement solution. Working without the use of markers/targets the system was designed to specifically tackle the inspection of medium to large sized objects in challenging industrial environments with relative ease and freedom. The wireless system is dynamic in use allowing the user to move the tracker or part during measurement without compromising results. This allows the use of the FreeTrak system in unstable environments that still require metrology-grade precision and accuracy for inspection. The fact that the system is wireless also means the scanner can be used independently from the FreeTrak for smaller scale scanning jobs, making it a truly versatile and comprehensive measuring solution.

The FreeTrak Probe is a portable wireless CMM probing system that was created for use on shop floors and other challenging industrial environments. The system is not susceptible to environmental influences such as vibration and position changes during operation, allowing users to move the optical tracker or wireless probe at any time during the measurement process to generate the same high accuracy data. The system is the ideal alternative to solving production issues caused by bottlenecks present in traditional coordinate measuring machines, optimizing the overall efficiency of product cycles and providing real-time CAD inspection reports.

The FreeTrak system is being integrated into SHINING 3D’s already extensive metrology & industrial solution ecosystem. The complete solution along with the new EinSpector software is now exhibiting at Control 2019 along withother SHINING 3D products, located at booth 3500, Hall 3.
