KARLSRUHE, Germany, Mar 4, 2015 – PDTec AG, a leading provider of simulation data management (SDM) software and services and solutions for the integration of CAE data, processes and systems, announces the release of SimData Manager version 3.0. SimData Manager enables efficient and structured administration of all calculation-relevant data throughout the entire CAE process chain.
The newly designed intuitive user interface facilitates the workflow and offers numerous new features.
One of the key features of version 3.0 is the newly designed, intuitive and even more user-friendly user interface. Based on the Ribbon technology (à la Microsoft Office), the GUI offers numerous new features, such as extended capabilities when working with tables, convenient inline-edit functions and more.
Among version 3.0 ‘s most important innovations are a newly designed graphic menu navigation, a central library for CAE modules, an SDM process commander, an event tracking mechanism, configurable PLMXML export and import functions, and extended workflow functionality. Users will benefit from new tools for comparing results, such as fringe plots, curves and data, comprehensive reporting functions, and a link to Microsoft Powerpoint for ease in developing presentations.

The new version is currently being shipped and will be put into productive operation at several car manufacturers, such as Audi, Porsche, and Volkswagen, after being customized for the companies’ requirements.
