MSC’s CEO to Speak at 2017 Autonomous Vehicle Test Symposium

NEWPORT BEACH, CA, Oct 13, 2017 – MSC Software Corp., a global leader in helping product manufacturers to advance their engineering methods with simulation software and services, announced that president & CEO, Dominic Gallello, will be speaking at the 2017 Autonomous Vehicle Test & Development Symposium.

In order to achieve level 5 Autonomous Vehicles, simulation technologies need to simulate one billion miles of driving per day that include rare events. Dominic will address how simulation and artificial intelligence play a pivotal role in achieving this high level of safety. Dominic will also provide an overview on the basics of artificial intelligence and how it integrates with MSC solutions.

“We have a long journey ahead of us to move from current offline simulation methods to testing for cars driving completely without human intervention,” says Dominic Gallello, president & CEO at MSC Software. There are many challenges to be solved, much more technology to be invented, and many more orders of magnitude of simulations to be performed than what is currently being done today. With the aid of artificial intelligence, the development of the necessary perception and decision neural networks will be delivered with higher confidence.”
