MCAD Technologies Merges with CATI

CATI_new_logoBUFFALO GROVE, IL, Dec 11, 2015 – Computer Aided Technology (CATI), a leading provider of product development solutions from SOLIDWORKS, Stratasys, and Dassault Systèmes, has expanded their reach by bringing MCAD Technologies, a SOLIDWORKS and Stratasys reseller based in Denver, CO, into the computer aided technology family of companies.

“We are happy to welcome MCAD into the Computer Aided Technology family. Both leadership teams share the same vision – making customers’ success the driving factor of this integration. We look forward to working with and supporting MCAD and their clients,” said Rich Werneth, president, computer aided technology.

CATI has been serving manufacturing and engineering clients since 1992. They were the first reseller of SOLIDWORKS in North America – dating back to 1995. Their depth of technical resources, ability to support the entire SOLIDWORKS Innovation Platform, and wealth of valuable technical content makes them stand out among their peers.

Clients on both sides will benefit from the combination of resources, including an expanded solution portfolio as well as additional technical resources. The integration of MCAD into CATI, brings the total number of employees to over 130, with over 50 technical Application Engineers. In addition, the combined organization will be the first provider with support personnel in all four Continental U.S. time zones.

“Computer aided technology has been serving engineering and manufacturing clients for over 20 years. Like MCAD, they built their business around ensuring their customer’s success. Both companies were founded and managed by engineering and manufacturing professionals. That’s what makes this integration a great fit.” says Joel Quizon, VP of MCAD technologies.

MCAD customers will also have access to CATI’s InFlow Technology to serve their PLM/PDM strategies.  InFlow Technology is a wholly owned Subsidiary of computer aided technology. InFlow has deployed hundreds of successful PDM and PLM systems since 2001. The InFlow team consists of industry experts fully dedicated to PLM and PDM solutions.

CATI’s 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing expertise will be available to MCAD clients as well.  Earlier this year, computer aided technology was named as a Stratasys Platinum partner for their demonstrated ability to drive growth in the 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing industry. Their expertise and knowledge of both the PolyJet and FDM lines of 3D Printers and Production Systems will be a strategic benefit for MCAD clients.
