Materialise Builder Bundled with Leapfrog Creatr HS 3D Printer

logo_materialiseLAS VEGAS, NV (International CES), Jan 9, 2015 – Materialise NV, a leading provider of additive manufacturing software and of sophisticated 3D printing solutions in the medical and industrial markets, and Leapfrog 3D Printers, a leading 3D printer producer from the Netherlands bringing 3D printing solutions to a wide audience, are proud that their partnership has led to a successful Builder, which will now be bundled with the new Leapfrog Creatr HS 3D printer. It is the first time that Materialise applies its decades of experience in developing high-end software to a leading desktop 3D printer. Leapfrog 3D printers are a preferred choice for business and educational users due to their deep knowledge on what these different type of users need to add value with a 3D printer. The Leapfrog Builder, which combines Materialise’s Build Processor with a user-friendly front-end solution, makes printing easier than ever while still offering the user many options to print.

Much like printer drivers make inkjet printing easy because of the simple user interface that still allows the user to choose from many settings and profiles, the powerful Leapfrog Builder, developed by Materialise, enables the same for Leapfrog’s 3D printers, which use fused filament fabrication (FFF) technology. This lets users adjust the settings based on pre-set, automatically updated profiles or create their own profile based on the parameters of their choice. Not only does this give users more control and options over their print, it also drastically streamlines the printing process so that users can go from STL file to clicking print in one all-inclusive program.

In order to remain agile in the rapidly developing 3D printing industry, Leapfrog 3D Printers believes in building customized solutions for their clients by building partnerships with companies that are the very best in their specific field, like Materialise. Besides these types of partnerships, Leapfrog 3D Printers also partners up with customers in different industries, to gain a deep understanding of what is needed to add value for their specific application. Their very first partnership is still holding strong: Leapfrog 3D Printers was founded in 2012 by Dutch machine producer AV Flexologic, who is still using these printers in-house. Their immediate feedback is used to continuously develop the printers, making them ideal for the education, product design, medical purposes and architectural design. The Leapfrog Builder will help tremendously in making it even easier for all types of users to print their designs.
