VELDHOVEN, The Netherlands, Jan 22, 2015 – Dimenco announced that it has signed a Technology License Agreement with Leyard Photoelectronics Co. LTD, the world’s largest LED wall manufacturer, to develop and launch the first No-Glasses 3D LED wall.
In conjunction with the Technology License Agreement, Leyard has acquired an equity position in Dimenco. This capital investment will be used entirely for technology development supporting Dimenco’s growth ambitions.

Until now, 3D auto-stereoscopic (No-Glasses) displays were always manufactured in small sizes, limited by the available sizes of the LCD. By adding No-Glasses 3D technology to LED, the market can enjoy large 3D experiences for both outdoor and indoor applications. The advertisement, entertainment and sports markets can benefit particularly from the availability of large size No-Glasses LED 3D displays. This unique offering combines Leyard’s high resolution LED panels with Dimenco’s No-Glasses 3D technology, resulting in the best quality large screen 3D.
Dimenco’s No-Glasses 3D Technology is based on applying an advanced optical layer in front of the LED screen to send different information to each eye, thereby creating a 3D perception. This is very similar to a lenticular card. In addition to this optical layer, clever and proprietary image processing is required to provide an optimal 3D picture.

The first product Leyard will be offering is the 108” No-Glasses LED 3D Wall. The product is based on Leyard’s current 1.25 mm LED panels and is expected to be released in the second half of 2015.
