KODAK Portrait 3D Printer Available in Asia

SHANGHAI, China, Mar 5, 2019 – Kodak 3D Printing, an ecosystem created by Smart International and under license by Kodak, brings its first Kodak printer to the Asian market this year at TCT Asia.

Showcased at Shanghai, the new KODAK Portrait 3D Printer is aiming to top the charts in professional desktop 3D printing, with its combination of reliability, backed by the iconic Kodak brandand innovation. The machine will introduce its new features to a tech-savvy crowd who are keen to utilize 3D printing to its maximum potential. Perfect for engineers, designers, architects, medical and educational users, plus with extensive applications across prototyping, the KODAK Portrait 3D Printer features a fully enclosed structure with all-steel components to ensure consistency and reliability in engineering materials, even when using high temperature polymers.

Other features include the dual-extrusion system with automatic nozzle lifting and swappable PTFE or all metal hot ends for optimal performance in each material and for each unique print, automatic bed leveling, preset print parameters for ease of use, a touchscreen and 5” camera to monitor ongoing print jobs. Completing the package, the printer offers free access to the KODAK 3D Cloud, an IT compliant print management system, which gives unlimited possibilities to run print farms on a global scale. The management software operated via Wifi or Lan port uses the KODAK 3DSlicer to slice online, monitor prints and receive over-the-air updates.  And, as another nod towards ultimate reliability of build and design, the KODAK Portrait 3D Printer comes with an up to 4 year warranty (the first offer of its kind for a desktop 3D printer).

The KODAK 3D Printing Filaments which complement the machine, come in a wide variety of materials and color palette. The existing range includes ABS, Flex 98, HIPS, Nylon 6, Nylon 12, PETG, PLA+, PLA Tough, PVA, with more materials to be added shortly. All boast a low moisture range, with all spools arriving vacuum wrapped in specialist foil packs.

The KODAK Portrait 3D Printer is available now in Asia, North America and Europe at a retail price of $3,499 and can be found this year in Hall W5 Booth 40 at TCT Asia.
