Users of SpaceClaim and KeyShot have enjoyed close integration between the products in the past with the ability to send designs created inside SpaceClaim straight to KeyShot. Now, in a partnership between Luxion and SpaceClaim, the integration between the platforms becomes even tighter. The integration introduces the ability to apply KeyShot materials directly inside SpaceClaim Engineer and includes the addition of Luxion’s LiveLinking technology to send geometry updates from SpaceClaim Engineer directly to KeyShot without losing material assignments or other settings. Like SpaceClaim, KeyShot provides the most advanced compatibility for the widest range of 3D file formats, making each a critical solution for those on multi-platform 3D modeling systems who demand high quality visuals for imagery across the concept design, manufacturing and marketing process.

“KeyShot for SpaceClaim” is bundled together with SpaceClaim Engineer with KeyShot capabilities completely integrated within the SpaceClaim interface. From the KeyShot tab, users can apply over 500 scientifically accurate materials to their model and see them applied to the design as they work. When a user is ready to take their work into KeyShot to continue the rendering process, they simply select ‘Render’ and the model, along with KeyShot materials, colors and camera views, is opened inside KeyShot. From here, the user can continue to add and modify materials, change environments, add lighting and send design changes from SpaceClaim to KeyShot with the click of a button. Overall, a process that brings the modeling speed in SpaceClaim and the rendering speed in KeyShot together, saving time for engineers, manufacturers and others creates visual content.

“SpaceClaim Engineer is an incredibly versatile tool for 3D modeling,” said Claus Wann Jensen, CEO and co-founder at Luxion. “To see this with “KeyShot for SpaceClaim” brings phenomenal power to the product development process. With more flexibility in design and rendering, it not only makes the workflow faster and more efficient, but also makes the creation of 3D visuals even faster than before.”
