KeyMouse Names CES 2016 Innovation Awards Honoree

LAS VEGAS, NV, Dec 9, 2015 – KeyMouse has been named a CES 2016 Innovation Awards Honoree for its new keyboard and mouse combination device. The products entered for this award are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and members of the trade media to recognize outstanding design and cutting-edge engineering in consumer electronics products.

KeyMouseDesigned for avid computer users, KeyMouse is an innovative new input device which combines a keyboard and mouse in a more efficient and ergonomic design. A KeyMouse set includes a right-hand unit and a left-hand unit with a QWERTY keyboard split in half over the two devices. The keys are also fully programmable allowing customized key layouts useful for CAD, gaming, and other applications.

“Our goal is to create the ultimate input device, and we are honored to receive this kind of recognition with this award,” said KeyMouse founder and CEO, Heber Allred.

The prestigious CES Innovation Awards are sponsored by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), the producer of CES 2016, the global gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies, and have been recognizing achievements in product design and engineering since 1976.

Original KeyMouse prototypes were exhibited at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), where potential users and consumers provided valuable feedback which was collected and applied to the design. The updated version will be displayed at the KeyMouse exhibit as well as the designated honorees award booth at CES 2016, January 6-9 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Another specialized function of KeyMouse is the ability to operate the mouse with either hand while a separate laser sensor can be configured for specialized functions such as rotating 3D models, scrolling, panning, and zooming.

“Three main reasons that users move their hands from a typing position are to move the mouse, use the number pad, and to use the arrow keys. With KeyMouse, users can do all of this comfortably without moving their hands out of typing position. We believe our product will add efficiency and quickly pay for itself,” said Allred.

KeyMouse is now accepting pre-orders at the price of $399.00 per set at www.keymouse.com. Completed units are expected to be available for shipping by early 2016.
