Joe Francica, Adena Schutzberg Leave Directions Magazine

SOMERVILLE, MA, Jan 23, 2015 – GIS and mapping veterans Joe Francica and Adena Schutzberg have left Directions Magazine in what appears to be an editorial reorganization.  The business, owned by Jane Elliott, appears to still be in operation and the magazine website reflects the changes in the editorial staff but Adena’s Allpoints Blog is no longer to be found.

Adena is back to being a principal of ABS Consulting Group, Inc., which offers its services to  the geospatial and educational communities. She worked for Directions Magazine for 10 years, last holding the position of executive editor. She blogs at Ignite Education.

“We appreciate the many years that Joe and Adena gave Directions,” commented Jane Elliott, Directions’ owner and publisher. “They will be missed. We wish them the very best in their new endeavors. We encourage everyone to explore the 16 years of Directions Magazine archives for all the past content that they diligently created.”

Joining Directions will be two contributing editors. Diana Stinton will share her insights in research and education and Bill McNeil will add his expertise from the UAV industry, according to New Direction at Direction Magazine,  posted January 21, on the publications blog.
