ITI Promotes Tom Gregory to CEO

ITI_logoMILFORD, OH, Feb 12, 2015 – International TechneGroup Inc.(ITI), the global leader of integration, migration, and interoperability solutions for engineering information systems, is pleased to announce the promotion of Tom Gregory to CEO and his election to the ITI Board of Directors.

Tom-GregoryMichael Lemon, chairman, 32-year employee and son of ITI founder Dr. Jason “Jack” Lemon, nominated Gregory as CEO as part of a strategy to strengthen professional management and focus on sustainable growth.  Lemon will retain the role as chairman and take on the responsibilities of chief strategist.

“As COO and CFO, Tom has demonstrated excellent operational leadership and ITI realized strong growth and profitability,” stated Lemon. “He has a diversified background in operations, finance and accounting, and he’s a tenured officer with the industry knowledge and financial expertise that will help us focus on growth while continuing to provide value to our clients.”

Gregory’s promotion marked the beginning of an internal reorganization to realign ITI’s software and consulting practices with its five-year growth strategy. The strategy encompasses the rollout of new solution offerings for PLM and engineering systems interoperability, new market development in the areas of MBD, engineering change, validation, and plant engineering tools, as well as potential acquisitions.

“Over the past three years, ITI divested itself of all other non-interoperability businesses so we could focus our resources on what we do well,” said Gregory. “We have a 32-year history of supplying quality software solutions for engineering information interoperability. We lead the market because we employ the best people, and because global manufacturers, their suppliers, and the major CAD, CAM, CAE and PLM vendors, trust us.”

Gregory’s management team is realigned to meet the needs of its partners and customers. It is made up of four industry veterans with technical and industry acumen, operational expertise, and leadership experience:

  • Don Hemmelgarn has been appointed senior executive vice president, C3 Interoperability Solutions. A CAD industry veteran, Hemmelgarn came to ITI in 1984, one-year after the company was founded. From the late 1980’s through 2000, he developed, grew, and managed ITI’s standards-based translator business. From 2000-2013, Hemmelgarn played an integral role in the acquisition and integration of two companies and the implementation of ITI’s first direct sales channel. In his new role, Hemmelgarn will oversee global operations for software development, technical services and project delivery.
  • Tom Makoski was promoted to the role of executive vice president, PLM Integration Business. Makoski is a PLM industry veteran, with over twenty-five years’ experience in CAD migrations and PLM deployments. In this role, Makoski will lead ITI’s PLM vendor partnerships with Aras Corp., DassaultSystemes, Siemens PLM, and Parametric Technology Corp. (PTC). In addition, Makoski will oversee the expansion of ITI’s global PLM integration products, software development, technical services, and delivery teams.
  • After two years with a process engineering technology leader, Jamie Flerlage rejoined ITI as executive vice president, Global Business Development. His twenty years’ experience includes Fortune 500 direct sales, channel management, and marketing responsibilities for LAN/WAN technologies, IT security systems, plant engineering applications, and PLM technologies. Flerlage previously served ITI from 2003-2012 as Regional Director. He is now responsible for implementing a global sales and marketing organization that aligns with the company’s growth strategy.
  • Theresa Bolin was promoted to the role of vice president of Finance and Administration. She previously served as Corporate Controller during her fifteen-year career at ITI. She possesses over twenty-three years’ experience in accounting and finance, with specializations in globalization, acquisitions, audits, contracts administration, and regulatory compliance. In her new role, Bolin will also oversee ITI’s business processes, financial systems, banking, risk management and human resources.

“The timing is perfect for us to make these organizational changes,” stated Gregory. “We’ve seen strong growth in the adoption of our interoperability technologies in recent years, and we’re confident that our new management team and strategic direction will help us extend this trend.”
