A complete solution for real-time network hydraulic and water quality modeling, monitoring, forecasting and SCADA integration, IWLive equips water utilities with powerful, mission-critical tools that are both predictive and reactive. Designed for use in the water distribution control room, IWLive gives operators unprecedented decision making ability in developing real-time response strategies. They can run accurate hydraulic simulations that factor in energy costs, weather, real time or delayed SCADA telemetry, demand history, and valve and pumping control scenarios. Beyond increasing efficiency and reducing energy consumption, IWLive can help operators understand the impact of their systems on CO2 emissions as well as the effects of main breaks, pump and reservoir shutdowns and other scheduled maintenance.
The fully optimized IWLive interface allows operators to see a map of all water infrastructures, including background maps. Highlighted color coding shows predicted problem areas; a single click produces a detailed map showing pipes, valves, pumps, reservoirs and other water assets. Animation of the map illustrates the development of the problem, while graphs show simulated pressures and reservoir levels. IWLive can be accessed remotely over a VPN, and configured to send critical warning messages via SMS or email.
The latest version of IWLive features a new Electricity Tariff Window that allows users to view and edit electricity tariffs for the currently selected run. Electricity tariffs used in projection runs can be viewed, and electricity tariffs used in new incident or response runs can be edited. Electricity tariffs can also be updated from live data. Newly added Node Results, Link Results and Object Group Results windows can be used to view a numeric replay of object results when replaying a simulation.
V5.5 includes a new Selection Window that allows users to perform actions such as graphing and labeling on a selection of objects. A new results display option has been added to the IWLive operator program allowing filtering of results in grid windows to show all assets, assets from a selection list, assets visible in the Map View or assets selected in the Map View.
BalanceNet for IWLive v5.5 also features a number of new enhancements, including the factoring of Price of Water costs, where specified, along with electricity costs into the optimization, allowing users to make informed decisions about the optimal water sources to use. A Flow Volume Constraints grid has been added for pumping stations, meters and pipes that allows users to set parameters such as the time period over which a constraint is applied, various reset conditions, an initial flow rate/volume and a minimum or maximum flow rate/volume. BalanceNet volume constraints can also be updated from live data.
